Plants vs. Zombies Crochet

I have no excuse for these, they were just too cute so I had to give them a try. My son started playing Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and got me hooked as well. In the meantime, we expanded well into the PvZ universe and got both Garden Warfare games and the PvZ 2 mobile app. Playing the mobile app brought back fond memories from the time when you could play all the quirky Popcap games for free on their website.

Patterns: Made these up as I went along, no pattern, with the exception of the sunflower. I found a wonderfully detailed instruction for her on the net: The pattern for the happy sunflower can be found here.

    These little crocheted plants are adorable — the sunflower especially came out great, and I love that the potato mine made the cut too, since that’s such an easy character to overlook. It’s funny how a game about defending your lawn from zombies ends up inspiring something this cozy and low-stakes. Also really sweet that it started as a family thing with your son getting you into Battle for Neighborville. Thanks for linking the sunflower pattern too, might actually try that one myself.
