No, of course not. Hive 53 is not going to end anytime soon. But. Now that chapter 5 has come to an end, it’s time to send the comic on a scheduled hiatus. Only the comic. I’m rather looking forward to work on something technically more challenging again: Comic pages are all fine and fun but I miss working on something more complex and detailed.

You’ll still get frequent updates and snippets and previews of illustrations so you won’t have to go without the green darlings. It’s also quite possible that one or two standalone comic pages will make their way into my workflow.

I’ve been working on the comic for more than ten years and it still has a loyal fanbase – this is much more that I could ever have hoped for. You guys are great, keep the gate open! Tox and his crew will stay as they are and will stick around, only in different forms of artwork and texts.
