I was tagged by who wants to hear something about my smug, arrogant, pain-in-the-ass Wraith commander Castox. Here are the tag rules:

So here we go: For all who don’t know him, Castox (Tox for short) is the commander of the most incompetent hiveship crew of Pegasus galaxy. His exceptional heroic deeds can be seen in my webcomic Hive 53.

• Fact 1: He’s the smartest guy on the hive but has a natural disposition for hiding this fact underneath a layer of clumsiness and macho attitude.
• Fact 2: He’s an excellent pilot and spends hours on modifying his dart to make it the fastest dart Wraithkind has ever seen. Most worshippers agree that it’s a brilliant hobby for him because he looks great in his sleeveless working suit.
• Fact 3: His best friend is Skin; the two of them went to the same elementary Wraithling school and had to flee from said hive at the same time when they got into trouble.
• Fact 4: Tox nowadays prefers females – no matter whether Wraith or human. But in the 5000+ years of his life, he hasn’t always been picky about gender. He’s been known to date guys as well as girls.
• Fact 5: In his first dart flight lesson as a young Wraith, he spectacularly crashed his dart in the tropical region of an inhabited planet. After a whole week of searching, the rescue team managed to find him and dragged him back to the hive. Under protest of Tox and the female population of the village where he’d taken shelter. Ever since, he keeps denying that his crash was done on purpose.
• Fact 6: His mother was an unusual Wraith Queen who allowed many humans to dwell on her hive. This probably explains a lot of his behaviour. When he was sent away to be raised among non-related Wraith, he didn’t know that he’d never return to his birth hive. It has been lost over time and there are rumours that it was destroyed by a rivaling Wraith faction – or a mishap caused by its resident scientists.
• Fact 7: Though he’s not particularly fond of human food, he has taken a liking to cocoa. Prepared with hot milk and a dash of whipped cream.
• Fact 8: You knew this was coming, right? The Fillyz-fact. Let’s state the obvious: He’s in love with her. Despite his best efforts to convince himself otherwise, he cannot help but see more in her than just another pretty female. The way she keeps rejecting him drives him nuts, of course, but in truth, he wouldn’t want it any other way. Like this, they can just both keep avoiding any complicated emotions.

That’s the facts part done. I’ll skip over points 3) and 4) because I don’t tag people, but feel free to tag yourself.
