Chapter 1: Taking Flight

This page reveals the storyline. Umm, yes…

The basic idea is that there was one Wraith hiveship which simply didn’t wake up from hibernation when all others did and will get into serious trouble by limping behind the other ships. To make things even worse all Wraith aboard that particular ship are somewhat… un-wraithlike. You’ll see. Most of the characters on the following pages just appeared fully formed in my mind. And yes, my mind is a strange place.

There should be 52 hiveships roaming the galaxy.

Well, at least there are 52 hiveships airborne.

But one single ship has overslept…

Panel 4
(telepathic mumbling) … hungry … setting course to … hungry … Damn! Who’stolen my hairdryer again? … hungry …
Oblivious to the growing amount of telepathic noise caused by the other ships…

Panel 5
Even ignoring radio transmissions up until now…
(radio) This is hiveship Plorii calling hiveship Silla. Hiveship Silla, come in!
