Yes, there is, sort of. After an amazing weekend in Düsseldorf I needed time to recover though. FedCon was a wonderful event once more and I’m already looking forward to next year’s con. Many, many thanks to all the fabulous people who made the weekend an unique experience – old friends as well as new friends. And let’s not forget the guest stars: alone being in the same room as Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks and Richard Dean Anderson ALL TOGETHER really made my day. The heroes of my teenage days whose Stargate characters shaped me in so many ways and fueled my passion for sci-fi.
Now that everyday life has returned, I can continue with doing art stuff, like the next pages of Hive 53 which are shaping up quite fine. One’s close to being shaded and finished, two more have finished pencil lineart and wait to be scanned. Then, there’s a big fanart piece waiting on my harddrive to be completed on which I’m working on and off whenever I feel like it. Another thing I’m working on is refining my colouring skills in Photoshop using vectors and gradients. I’m hoping to use it as a less time-consuming way of getting stuff coloured because there *may* be a semi-animated project in the future. Don’t hold your breath though, it’s still a looooong way off.
After being surrounded by fellow Stargate fans at FedCon, I got inspired to pick up another short fanfic I began last year. It’s wraithy and though it can be read as a standalone, it’s based on my one-shot “Revelation”.
Much to do, and of course, this website will also keep my busy. Still working on getting it populated with more artwork! 🙂
That’s all for now, thanks for reading and take care!
