Another wonderful series for young readers that I contribute illustrions to: Ein Fall für die Patchwork Kids from the publishing house in Farbe und Bunt. This is the cover illustration for the second book Der Schatz von Los Angeles (the treasure of Los Angeles). I like working on the series because of its cartoony and reduced style.

The publisher’s summary: When Mr Silver, the mysterious neighbour of Ellie, Ian & Jack, ends up in hospital in dramatic circumstances, Jack comes under suspicion.

In order to clear his name and help their neighbour, the three of them set off on an exciting treasure hunt through Los Angeles. But what does the mayor have to do with it? And why is the Italian mafia apparently interested in a creepy, abandoned ranch?
