Watercolour Frenzy!

Yay for traditional artwork! On Friday, I was at the local DIY market and bought a fresh pad of watercolour paper and some new brushes. Boy, it feels so good to work traditionally for a change! I truly love Photoshop and my Wacom tablet, make no mistake, but you can’t beat a good brush soaked in good paint, painting on good paper.

It was decided that I’m going to do all the illustrations for the childrens’ book project traditionally because it’s simply the faster way to work (at least for me, other people are probably faster in PS), and even a few minutes per drawing make a difference when there are over 60 pages total.

Work on the project has well and truly begun and the first picture is drawn and coloured. The stories are wonderfully written and the images form themselves effortless before my mental eye. Can’t wait to share something more specific!

Thanks for reading, have a great week!
